Held every four years in a different international destination, World Stage Design is the world's leading exhibition dedicated to performance design. For the 2025 edition at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, Evolution Furniture was commissioned to deliver the hospitality furniture programme across public lounge environments, creating colourful spaces that reflected the creativity and diversity of the global design community.

Working with an intentionally bold design language, Evolution curated an eclectic furniture collection featuring vibrant colours, sculptural forms and varied textures. The result transformed circulation areas and gathering spaces into welcoming hospitality environments that encouraged conversation, networking and creative exchange throughout the exhibition.

The Challenge

Unlike traditional conferences or corporate events, World Stage Design demanded furniture that became part of the overall visual experience. The brief called for hospitality environments that complemented an exhibition celebrating imagination, theatricality and artistic experimentation while remaining comfortable and practical for visitors throughout the event.

Achieving this required carefully balancing colour, furniture styles and spatial layouts so that every lounge area felt cohesive without becoming repetitive, allowing multiple environments to coexist across the venue.

Space Planning & Guest Experience

Hospitality environments were distributed across the academy's public areas to support natural visitor movement and provide informal meeting points throughout the venue.

Soft seating clusters encouraged small group conversations, while larger sofa arrangements created comfortable networking lounges. Accent chairs, coffee tables, ottomans and occasional furniture were mixed to produce a variety of seating experiences, ensuring each area offered a different atmosphere while remaining visually connected through the overall colour palette.

The result was a series of inviting temporary interiors that enhanced the visitor journey without competing with the surrounding exhibition displays.

Prada Mode is the contemporary social club created by Prada, bringing together art, culture, design and hospitality within carefully curated temporary environments around the world. For the Dubai edition in 2022, Evolution Furniture was appointed to manufacture and supply bespoke hospitality furniture that reflected the project's distinctive design vision while delivering the practicality required for a live temporary venue.

Working from an established creative concept, Evolution Furniture manufactured custom banquette seating, bespoke tables and specialist furniture elements finished with tailored fabrics and decorative detailing. The team was also responsible for the delivery, installation and de-rig of all furniture supplied, ensuring every piece was presented to specification and integrated seamlessly within the completed environment.

The project demonstrated Evolution Furniture's ability to combine bespoke manufacturing with efficient operational delivery, supporting premium hospitality environments where design quality and installation precision are equally important.

The Challenge

Unlike conventional event furniture rental projects, Prada Mode Dubai required furniture that could not simply be selected from an existing inventory. Every seating arrangement, table and upholstered element needed to reflect the project's established creative direction while remaining suitable for intensive use throughout the temporary installation.

The furniture also needed to complement the architectural setting, contribute to comfortable hospitality environments and support multiple guest experiences without distracting from the overall aesthetic.

Alongside the bespoke manufacturing programme, installation had to be carefully coordinated so that all furniture could be positioned accurately within the completed venue and removed efficiently once the project concluded.

Bespoke banquette seating created defined lounge areas while maintaining an open flow between adjoining spaces. Carefully positioned tables supported hospitality service without interrupting circulation, allowing guests to move naturally through the environment.

By integrating custom seating with coordinated finishes and furniture arrangements, the temporary interior achieved a cohesive appearance that supported both the visual identity of Prada Mode and the practical requirements of an operational hospitality venue.

Rather than dominating the environment, the furniture provided structure, comfort and functionality, allowing the overall experience to feel effortless for visitors.
